Our toy sheltie program
Here at Sensational Shelties we work hard to produce these beloved AKC toy shelties while not compromising on health. All our shelties are health screened to ensure they will be good additions to our breeding program.
First and foremost, our shelties are our pets and run around with our children on our half acre property with a beautiful view of our Utah mountains.
We only plan new breedings when we have interest on our waiting list.
We usually have one, sometimes two litters per year and the litters are small averaging 3-4 puppies.
Our puppies are raised around all different noises from both our active indoor family lifestyle, and the noises from outside such as lawn mowers, construction, cars, and more! They even have chickens and ducks for neighbors. All of these things really help to desensitize them to a lot of things.
Our kids are cuddling them from the moment they are born, until they leave.
We want to ensure your puppy comes to you well rounded, with wonderful temperaments and eager to take on the world!
We focus on the smaller UK/ British style sheltie in a much smaller size. Our parent dogs all range 11-3/4 to 12.5 inches tall, and under 15lbs.
Please keep in mind that although the parents are toy/mini sized, they can still have larger mini’s within the same litter. This is due to the large range of size in sheltie genetics that can pop up. But with that said, even my occasional larger puppies tend to stay under 13.5” which is still quite small.
Aside from wanting to produce small, healthy, and well socialized shelties, we also love to bring you a variety of fun colors.
When it comes to our breeding dogs, we have lighter sables, mahogany sables, sable merles, sable & sable merle color headed whites, blue merle, and bi-blue.
Being that our studs are light sable, we tend to get sable & sable merles in both solid and color headed white varieties the most though when it comes to puppies.
Our puppies are raised in our living room where they see a lot of traffic and get a lot of attention! They also have a nice big outdoor setup for the warmer seasons.
Our puppies are often potty training themselves before they leave!
Our adult dogs patrol our giant fenced yard, and share a ‘bedroom’ indoors.
Their favorite pass time is definitely playing ball or frisbee. They are very good at it, and that passion often passes to their puppies, especially since they are watching the adult dogs play and figuring out how fun it is!
We have been praised numerous times for producing puppies with outstanding temperaments and eagerness to learn and explore. We know you will love and cherish your puppy from us, and maybe even come back for another!
